We chose Quail because of a longtime knowledge of the organization Jon Girod has employed.

 

One thing we learned right away was that they met with us and developed custom finishes we wanted and reached out to their key subcontractors to develop a budget reflecting these finishes, all before even signing a contract.  This spoke of their trust in us.  When we started construction, their pace was fantastic, and their staff were all engaged in coordinating the process.  Their choice of subcontractors were the finest craftsmen in their industry.

 

As a retired CPA, I was especially impressed by their billing process.  It was extremely accurate and all variances from budget (which went in both directions) were well communicated.  In fact, our final “all in” cost was almost “right on budget”.

 

Our home was completed in less than nine months which has been the fastest of any builders in our neighborhood.  The final home came out exactly as we envisioned, and we cannot think of anything they could have done better.  Their post-construction follow up has been very timely and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Jon, you and your team did a great job. From our first meeting with you forward. Every team member who worked with us along the way handled business the way you would want.

 

Any challenges were dealt with in golden rule fashion.

 

Our trust is so strong we paid the last draw without retainage as we are confident any minor issues will be handled as they have been along the way. Not my typical standard.

When we decided to tear down our home and rebuild a custom home, I researched, emailed, and phoned a few local builders. It was important to me that I meet with builders I had heard of. One representative I spoke to with an unnamed builder said they couldn’t do even the most basic customizations. One builder never called me back, and then there was Jon. Jon responded right away, came out to our home, made a referral to me for someone to do some other remodel work on our shop, who we now consider a friend, talked about Quail Homes, and sold me on his company. We were not without issues, but knowing others who have built custom homes, that is not really unusual. We had some weather delay issues, some grading challenges, some miscommunications, but in the end we have an amazing home. One thing I really appreciated is the Jon uses local subs, and they were pretty much all subs I had heard of before. I would come out pretty much on a daily basis so I was able to meet most of them. I really enjoyed the people who had a part in our home. From Quail, there is Brandy, Sydney, Nicole, and Robin, all absolutely incredible to work with. Brandy did so much for us, not just when it came to permitting everything but also dealing with the county on other items. An absolute incredible employee for Quail to have. Sydney as well, keeping the communication flowing. My home would not be anything like it turned out if it wasn’t for Nicole and her design expertise, and Robin was completely underutilized as the warranty point of touch. Such a great guy, smart, and very personable.

I never had a custom home built. People always share their horror stories about contractors taking advantage of them. Our neighbors recommended Quail Homes. The entire process was simple, even when I thought it was going to be stressful. The team at Quail Homes eased every stressful concern and walked my wife and I through the entire build process. We had no idea the amount of choices/selections a family needs to make when it comes to building a home, so we relied on the knowledge and expertise of the Quail team and are very pleased with the final outcome. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. We love our custom built home and receive lots of compliments on the craftsmanship from those who have seen it. It was built “rock-solid” and every detail was well thought out from the insulation, to the location of outlets and light switches.

We have lived in our new Quail home now for almost 10 months, and we couldn’t be happier! The build process was amazingly easy, thanks to Quail’s dedicated and professional team. Love our custom home! We’ve been in our house for over 2 years. Aside from the normal settling issues and small details. I want to say it’s perfect! I won’t deny it’s expensive to build custom, but we were given options to assist with our choices. THANK YOU, NICOLE!

 

The customer service is exceptional on all levels. Our meetings with Nicole were my favorite as they avoided any miscommunication in the process. I LOVED OUR MANUAL THAT OUTLINED ALL COMMUNICATION/ CHOICES/ RED LINES/ CHANGES.

 

Nicoles knowledge, patience and kind nature made our meetings go smoothly. Our project manager, Cindy was amazing and was always excited with/for us , she kept us updated through the process and has build several homes so caught details we hadn’t thought of. Most of the subs were awesome and did not mind being questioned. The framing team was the best. All deaf and work seamlessly.

 

Jon Girod went above and beyond.

 

Jon arranged several walk throughs of other homes he built and others that were in the process. It truly helped me as I need visuals as we planned. My husband has additional feedback and I’ll let him speak to that as he worked with Sydney, who had a fun personality along the way and Jeremy who did financials.
