Quail Building Process & Customization

CHOOSE LOT & FLOOR PLAN

The home site can be land you own, land you have found, or we can find that special piece of property for you. Quail Homes also has several Communities to choose from. Search for a plan on Quail’s website, or we can custom design a plan for you.

FINALIZE HOME PLAN

The Quail Team will customize the home and its features to fit how you want to live. We utilize tools like Pinterest & Houzz to create your ultimate dream home. After the planning phase, you will approve the custom plans. Quail will develop a detailed estimate for your home package.

SELECTIONS MEETINGS

Prior to construction and contract, we will review the various options for the home to customize and personalize your finishes. Nicole will guide you in this process to alleviate stress and weigh the pros and cons of various items. Going through all the details to find the right products and finishes to fit your lifestyle. All selection items are due prior to start of construction so we can get as much lead time as possible.

PURCHASE & SALES AGREEMENT

Quail and you will enter into a contract for the home package.

STATUS REPORT (TWICE A MONTH)

A bi-weekly status report stating the progress of your project will be updated and sent out twice a month. This allows our clients to stay informed on items currently in process, as well as the next steps throughout the build, from contract to move in.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING

The pre-construction meeting is held with the projects Site Supervisor and the clients at our office. The purpose of this meeting is to review redlined plans, permitted documents, work package, expectations, job site etiquette, and answer any questions prior to the start of construction.

FRAMING & MECHANICAL MEETING

An on-site meeting with your construction manager framer, plumber & HVAC contractor, after the start of framing to confirm scope of work and address any changes.

ELECTRICAL MEETING

An on site meeting with your construction manager, and electrician, will take place to review all electrical needs prior to drywall.

Concrete & Landscape Walkthrough

QUALITY CONTROL

Quail team will finish a quality control checklist during this walk through, in order to provide a home completed to the RWC & NAHB building standards.

NEW HOME ORIENTATION

Quail will familiarize you with your new home, how the equipment operates, and the details of your warranty. If necessary, you will develop a punch list for Quail to complete prior to moving in or soon thereafter.

WARRANTY

You new home warranty is outlined in your RWC and NAHB building standards.
