Tool Box
Last school year local C.T.E High School students taught 900 fourth graders how to build a toolbox and introduced them to the joy of building.
Next year we are on track for 2,100 elementary students!
Skills USA
A Hudson Bay student won State in plumbing and took 15th at Nationals!
School Built Sheds
The School Built Shed program teaches both the “hard and soft” skills of building, sales, and marketing. Students build the sheds from start to finish and sell them to the public through their marketing efforts. All funds that are received from the sales go directly back into the program to fund their future builds.
The shed building programs at Vancouver School District, Evergreen School District, Ridgefield School District and La Center School District launched spring 2024!
Dozer Day
At the 2024 Dozer Day Career Fair event there were 40 employers and 900+ High School students in attendance.
Youth Contractor Forum
Hosted by Southwest Washington Contractors Association (SWCA), the Young Contractors Forum is an event to educate and encourage High School students to pursue careers in the trades and will help them discover the pathways to their future careers in construction.
Grade 13 Event
The last Grade 13 event brought the top construction students from SW Washington High Schools together with the top 25 employers in Clark County. The results were 175+ interviews, all 30 students received job offers, and 26 students accepted jobs with an average starting wage of $23/hour.
