Let me says this first, our thoughts and prayers are to those who are suffering. A real shout out to the healthcare professional working tirelessly and putting it in on the line for us all. Let’s all be focused on what the experts are advising so that we can get through this as quickly as possible. I have been around homebuilding since the mid 1970’s. I have experienced difficult recessionary periods. What I find encouraging this time is a tremendous focus to try and shorten the duration by our national leaders. Homebuilding and Remodeling are considered essential services. We can work during the ‘Stay at Home’ order by both Washington and Oregon’s Governors. We do have to work differently. All those that can work at home are. Field people must follow safe health protocols. Our model homes are closed. People interested can drive by, pick up flyers, view our website and or call me at 360-907-5800. The good news is that our backlog of sales is on board to build. They realize it takes 6-12 months to build a home. They figure if they delay the build it will be harder later. They realize there is a pause on sales right now. Later when pent up demand occurs there will be more pressure on labor, material availability and pricing. We have taken the lead in providing great communication to our constituents.
