The housing market had a good year. We have participated in that good fortune. Next year looks promising. Interest rates and inventory levels are down which is good for housing. We see continued population growth. We are really excited for our 2020 empty nester opportunities. We will be building in Battle Ground, Felida and Washougal. We have excellent floor plans that are fully customizable. Our empty nester clients love living in them. This time of year we analyze our product specifications. We like to make our standards at a high level. We will be including additional items as standards that help people with aging in place. We also will be including products and techniques to meet the new energy code updates (a significant change). We recognize the impacts of the pricing of real estate in our market. We are working hard to make sure we are efficient as possible in our work so that we can pass on the best pricing we can. We are focused on developing our own lots, streamlining our processes and working with our trade partners so that we can bring the best value possible. We just received an award from our Building Industry Association. We got the Industry Advocate Award for 2019 for our work with Clark County. We would like to thank Dan Young (building inspector manager) and Mike Curtis (permit center manager) for their participation in helping us streamline the permitting and inspections process.
